House of Gog™ is a premium collectibles brand based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We specialize in creating high-quality, original, and limited art statues and prints inspired by the world’s best and coolest artists.

Founded by two passionate collectors and friends, House of Gog™ brings over 20 years of experience in high-end toy and statue production. We offer exclusive, one-of-a-kind pieces sold directly to collectors worldwide exclusively through our online shop and at events.

THE FOUNDERS

P-A L’Espérance, formerly an Operations Manager at Ubisoft, has extensive experience in marketing and e-commerce, particularly for transmedia consumer products. He met Hugues Martel, founder of Pure Arts - one of the leading premium toy and statue makers in the industry - while collaborating on projects for some of Ubisoft’s top video games. A lifelong collector with a real passion for art and for toys, P-A is an avid collector with an extensive toy, sofubi and statue collection.

"I come from a family of collectors and art lovers, with my father sparking my passion for both at a young age (starting with stamps!). After getting hooked on collecting Kenner Star Wars figures—only for my mother to "accidentally" throw them away in the '90s—I’ve never stopped. My collection evolved from mainstream superheroes to niche finds like Japanese sofubi and indie toys. House of Gog is the product of our rebellious "punk" spirit paired with our love for artists."

- P-A L'Espérance, cofounder | creative director
Hugues Martel, with a background in 2D animation, art direction, and traditional sculpting, has been collecting since his teens. His early interest in Japanese garage kits and resin casting paved the way for his career in producing premium collectibles and becoming one of the most talented and prolific toy makers in the industry. Hugues has one of the largest toy and statue collections in the world, which he hopes to share with everyone some day. Toy museum perhaps...?

“I’ve always been passionate about collectibles. My first garage kit build was at 11 years old and no one understood what I was doing since this hobby was extremely niche in the early 80s - and still is - specifically in a small town in Quebec. Throughout my childhood, I was either drawing from comic books or sculpting all the time [...] I would even sculpt and paint customs parts for my Randy Bowen collection!
- Hugues Martel, cofounder | art director

WHAT IS HOUSE OF GOG?

House of Gog takes original artworks from the portfolios of world-class artists and transpose them into meticulously crafted collectible statues. The goal—and the challenge—is to remain true to the artist’s vision, capturing not just the visual details, but also the essence, vibe and emotion of the reference artwork. Every statue must feel like an authentic extension of the artist’s work in every aspect. To further honor this connection, each art statue is hand-signed by the artist.

“We like to describe House of Gog as similar to a record label, but instead of producing albums with various artists, we collaborate with visual artists to create a limited series of high-end statues, statuettes and art prints. Just as a label curates music, we curate works of visual art, bringing them to life in collectible form.”
- P-A L’Espérance, cofounder | creative director

Moving forward, House of Gog will continue expanding its roster by welcoming new artists, while also developing exciting new collectible projects in collaboration with their current artists.

All of House of Gog's projects are official collaborations with artists with revenue-sharing through royalties.

Each artist is actively involved in every stage of the process, providing approval at key milestones such as product design, sculpting and paint work.

House of Gog carefully curates every artist collaborations which ensures each collaboration reflects the essence of House of Gog while appealing to its community of collectors.

If there’s a mutual fit, the partnership begins.

100% IN-HOUSE. NO THIRD-PARTIES

One of our key advantages and unique features is the close-knit partnership between House of Gog and Pure Arts. This strong collaboration allows us to seamlessly blend artistic vision with expert craftsmanship, setting us apart in the industry.

"Founded in 2008 by the artist and collector Hugues Martel, PUREARTS® is one of the leading creators and manufacturers of premium quality collectible figurines for the video game and the movie industries."

This relationship allows us to maintain and nurture a direct connection between collectors and producer by handling everything in-house, without relying on third-party manufacturers. This hands-on approach ensures meticulous attention to detail at every stage of design and production, giving us complete control over the quality and craftsmanship of our work.

P-A handles the creative direction, marketing and operations while Hugues handles the art direction, product design and production.

Hugues' extensive experience as an artist and maker of high-end collectibles, combined with P-A's creativity, marketing and management expertise, create a perfectly balanced team with a strong synergy.
