Monsterpalooza 2025 – Our Weird, Wonderful Weekend in Review

What’s up everyone!

We just got back from our second Monsterpalooza and once again, it was amazing!

Monsterpalooza isn’t your average convention; it’s the gathering for artists, sculptors, kit builders, and statue creators to showcase their work, engage with fans, and revel in all things monstrous and wonderfully strange.

Ceremony (Neksis Vorn): The World's First Human-AI Statue

One of the major highlights at our booth was the debut of Brent Ashe’s incredible "Ceremony (Neksis Vorn)" statue - The First Human–A.I. Collaborative Art Statue. The concept blew minds, the execution left people speechless, and the eyes...mezmorized every single one. We were beyond stoked to see it featured on the back cover of the official Monsterpalooza program. It was definitely one of the show’s heavy hitters and a bold statement for what’s possible in art and technology.

Skinner’s Xalbaga, The Cat God: Divine Whiskers from Beyond

In cosmic contrast, we also premiered Skinner’s "Xalbaga, The Cat God" - a psychedelic burst of color and chaotic majesty straight out of a DMT dream. Fans loved the intricate sculpt and vibrant palette - but the removable cat sidekick might have stolen the heart of many. The reactions were priceless - smiles, laughter, and even a few gasps.

Connections, Legends & Japanese Whisky

As always, one of the best parts of Monsterpalooza is the people. Although our cofounder P-A was manning the booth solo, limiting his capacity for walking around the show, we reconnected with our friends Skinner and Dave Correia (repping at the booth just across from ours), and shared laughs, steaks amongst the incredible art of Christopher Ulrich and day-time Japanese whisky that helped carry us through long and busy days.

We had the pleasure of seeing Alex Pardee again (always a legend), and got to see our friend,  the great and talented Danny Tran from Plastic Cell. Skinner brought us to Dope Pope’s booth to see his wonderfully sculpted kaijus. A very special moment was telling Simon Lee (Spiderzero) how much of an influence he’s been for our cofounder Hugues and House of Gog as a whole as well as gifting him one of Pascal's pieces as an offering!

We also met Draculazer - a killer sofubi artist and brother of a good friend of the House of Gog (Hi Justin!) and actor Sky Elobar of The Greasy Strangler cult fame. Sky worked on one of Skinner’s upcoming projects (which we cannot wait to watch), and his new movie "Ebony and Ivory" (about Stevie Wonder/Paul McCartney?) sounds wild in all the best ways.

Dean Evans - a longtime friend of Brent’s and a creative powerhouse in the video game world (best known as the creative director of Far Cry: Blood Dragon) - stopped by to pay tribute to Neksis Vorn. He hung out at the booth, charming both visitors and P-A with his wit, wild anecdotes, and undeniable presence.

We also can’t forget Papa Meat - who we first met at last year’s show, and who dropped by again this year to say hi (this time making a grand entrance with those unmistakably sexy, fat legs).

Fans, Friends & Future

And of course - YOU. We met so many fans, friends, and long-time supporters, which is always the most rewarding part of any convention. Whether you’ve followed us since day one or just discovered our work, getting to talk to you in person is what keeps us going.

We also met some brilliant new creators, like Australian concept artist Eddy Taylor, whose credits include Mad Max, Thor, and Aquaman. Seriously inspiring.

Until Next Time

Monsterpalooza 2025 was one for the books. It’s hands down one of our favorite events of the year, and we’re already looking forward to the next one. If you didn’t make it out this time, we hope to see you at our booth in 2026 - whether it's for the first time or the next time.

Thanks for making it special.

With cosmic love,

-Selina
