  • Shadows and Form: Xalbaga, The Cat God | Photos By Nchanzplace

    · By Selina M.

Fellow disciples of Xalbaga, This new photo series by Nchanz pushes mood over realism. Sculptural lighting and controlled color edits strip away neutrality and lean into atmosphere. The result feels dark, ritualistic, and intentional. Xalbaga reads less as an object and more as a presence. Ominous. Still. Watching. This set doesn’t document the sculpture. It interprets it. Light is used to carve form, deepen shadow, and exaggerate posture. Color choices reinforce tension rather than accuracy. It fits Skinner’s Xalbaga perfectly. · By Selina M.

House of Gog kicked things off with a classic Vegas moment: checking in while navigating a maze of slot machines and nicotine smoke. Somehow, no money was lost to roulette, and the team made it to the room unscathed. Our booth at DesignerCon was perfectly placed next to some of their favorites. Jesse Hernandez, the urban Aztec art God, was our closest neighbor. Though we had met before, this was the first time for a proper, unhurried connection. He proved to be not just an incredible artist but also a true gentleman. A few steps down, David Igo (igostuff kaijudoom)...
