Shadows and Form: Xalbaga, The Cat God | Photos By Nchanzplace

Fellow disciples of Xalbaga,
This new photo series by Nchanz pushes mood over realism. Sculptural lighting and controlled color edits strip away neutrality and lean into atmosphere. The result feels dark, ritualistic, and intentional. Xalbaga reads less as an object and more as a presence. Ominous. Still. Watching.
This set doesn’t document the sculpture. It interprets it. Light is used to carve form, deepen shadow, and exaggerate posture. Color choices reinforce tension rather than accuracy. It fits Skinner’s Xalbaga perfectly.
